Emblem is the index of a college as well as the panorama of the promoter's mind. Accordingly the emblem of Dadi Veerunaidu P.G. College (DVNPGC) is depicted with the goddess of knowledge and learning i.e., Sarada with a Veena and Computer. This denotes an emblematic genesis of serenity and pristine of the place of learning in the era of computer which is an epoch for the global economy.

The DVNPGC is established in 1997 and recognized by the All India Council for Teaching Education (A.I.C.T.E), New Delhi, approved by Government of Andhra Pradesh and affiliated to Andhra University, Visakhapatnam.
  Location
 
 
The DVNPGC is located in the heart of Anakapalle town of Visakhapatnam district. The proximity of the college to various modes and nodes is very close. That is to say that it is one-fourth a kilometer distant to Railway Station and one kilometer to Bus Station Complex. The atmosphere in the campus is calm and pleasant and ideally suited for learning.
  Curriculum  
 
 
The DVNPGC is offering 3 year M.C.A. full-time course from the year 1997. The course is consisting of six semesters in accordance with the syllabi and examination system as envisaged by the Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. M.C.A. Degree will be conferred to the students by Andhra University.
  Admissions & Intake  
 
 
The present intake of students into M.C.A. course of the college is 30, of which, 25 will be filled through ICET counseling process and the sremaining by the college under NRI quota with ICET rankers or in lieu of NRI students as per the directions of the Government and the University.
  Imparting Skills  
 
 
The DVNPGC will always believe that the strength of the course and performance of its products depend upon the efficacy of the faculty and the imparting skills.

One of the distinctive features of the DVNPGC is the teaching methods employed. Instead of relying heavily on traditional lecturing, the college is using Seminars, Group Discussions, Quiz, etc., to make the learning process more meaningful and result oriented.

The college is in possession of Audio-Visual teaching aids such as colour Television V.V.R., L.C.D., Audio equipment, Home theater System, Overhead Projector and Public address system. To keep pace with latest developments in Management Information System, infinite number of hours of free Internet facility is also being provided to the students

The DVNPGC is endowed with a spacious, value based library and information services. At present, there are 3578 volumes of textbooks in computers alone running into 498 titles apart from Mathematics, Electronic and Management books. The college is adding latest editions and new titles continuously as per the need and necessity. It is a regular subscriber to various newspapers, periodicals and journals. At present, it is getting 15 computer-based journals and magazines of national and international repute. In addition, latest CDs in the area of computer field are also procured and placed for leading to students so as to make them commemorate with the recent trends and developments.

The students who have been released from the DVNPGC are occupying various capacities in highly reputed organizations like Oracle Corporation, Bangalore and Hyderabad, T.C.S., Bangalore, Satyam Computers, Hyderabad, SIEMENS, Bangalore, VEXCEED, Mumbai, HPS, Bangalore and CHSI, Hyderabad, etc.

The DVNPGC is situated in a four-storied RCC blkock consisting of five class room, two air-conditioned Computer labs, one Dada Communication lab, spacious library cum reading room, a seminar hall, a Audio-Visual room, a faculty room, apart from the offices of the Secretary, Director, Principal, Governing Body, Administrative Office, ladies waiting hall and toilets etc.

Instruction by the regular faculty of the DVNPGC is supplemented with guest lecturer by professional managers, renowned academicians and persons who have distinguished themselves in various walks of public life.
  Computer Lab  
 
 
The Computer lab of DVNPGC is completely air-conditioned and adored with 60 Pentium Systems with colour monitors and multimedia. The Lab is equipped with 3 dedicated Server (UNIX Server, Database Server for client Server architecture), four printers and one colour scanner. Different operating systems like MS-DOS, Unix, Linux and Windows NT are provided in the Lab to support the C, C++, Pascal, Java and COBOL Compilers and RDBMS like Oracle 8 with front-end tools D@K, Visual Basic and Visual C++. All the systems are having internet connection and are available for using infinite number of hours by the students.

As a part of achieving the above objective, we conduct 2 seminars per a week with 100 percent students participation. We invite 2 eminent persons / Software giants for every fort night and technical assignments are given to students to enhance their programming skills and each student is evaluated every week as per their performance in the seminars + assignments + Soft skills.

All the seats are filled through an examination namely ICET conducted by Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education. The candidates are admitted based on the rank obtained in the ICET. About 75,000 people appear the exam. College will have the details of only 30 candidates allotted to the college.

All the systems are connected by Windows NT – LAN and Unix server.   • Internal Continuous Evaluation System and place

Periodical evaluation system is designed in which the performance of a student in all aspects is rated every week. Place of evaluation is the college campus. As per the curriculum of the University, Internal Exams are conducted once at the end of each semester and the student is evaluated by an external from the University and the final marks are given by him.

  • Students’ assessment of Faculty, System in place.

90 Students belongs to three years of MCA and they are divided into 6 groups in each class(I-MCA, II-MCA, III-MCA). There will be two groups with a strength of 15 in each class. Each group is allotted to one faculty where the faculty is made accountable for the assessment and the development of the students in that group.
