Emblem is the index of the college as well as the panorama of the promoter’s mind. Accordingly, the emblem of Dadi Satyanarayana College of Education (DSNCE) is depicted with the goddess of knowledge and learning i.e., Sarada with a Veena and Book. This denotes an emblematic genesis of serenity and pristine of the place of learning in the era of competition which is an epoch for the global economy.

The DSNCE established in 2001 and was recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (N.C.T.E.), New Delhi, approved by Government of Andhra Pradesh and affiliated to Andhra University, Visakhapatnam.

The DSNCE is located in the heart of Anakapalle town of Visakhapatnam district. The proximity of the college to various modes and notes is very close. That is to say that it is few yards distant to both Railway Station and Bus Station Complex. The atmosphere in the campus is calm and pleasant and ideally suited for learning.

The DSNCE is offering one-year B.Ed. full-time course from the academic year 2001-02. The course is in accordance with the syllabi and examination system as envisaged by the Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. B.Ed. Degree will be conferred to the students in the name of Andhra University.

The present intake of students into B.Ed. course of the college is 100, of which, 85 will be filled through Ed. CET counseling process and the remaining by the college under Management/ NRI quota with Ed. CET rankers as per the directions of the Government and the University.

The DSNCE will always believe that the strength of the course and performance of its products depend upon the efficacy of the faculty and the imparting skills.

One of the distinctive features of the DSNCE is the teaching methods employed. Instead of relying heavily on traditional lecturing, the college is using Seminars, Group Discussions, Quiz, etc., to make the learning process more meaningful and result oriented.

The college is equipped with well-qualified and experienced regular faculty, besides a good number of guest-faculty, visiting faculty and adjunct faculty.

The college is in possession of Audio-Visual teaching aids as Colour Television, V.C.R., Automatic Slide Projector, D.V.D. player, L.C.D., Audio equipment, Home Theater System, Overhead Projector and Public address system. To keep pace with the latest developments in the Economic & Academic Systems, infinite number of hours of free Internet facility is also being provided to the students.

The DSNCE is endowed with a spacious, value based library and information services. At present, there are 2500 volumes of textbooks in method subjects alone running into titles apart from general knowledge and books of competitive edge. The college is adding latest editions and new titles continuously as per the need and necessity. It is a regular subscriber to various newspapers, periodicals and journals. At present, it is getting 15 method subjects-based journals and magazines of national and international repute. In addition, latest CDs in the area of computer field are also procured and placed for leading to students so as to make them commemorate with the recent trends and developments.

DSNCE in the first year of its establishment i.e., 2001-02, 98% of the students are passed and it was 97% in the second year.

The DSNCE is situated in a three-storied RCC block consisting of five class rooms, fine labs, spacious library cum reading room, a seminar hall, a Audio-Visual room, a faculty room, apart from the offices of the Principal, Governing Body, Administrative office, ladies waiting hall and toilets, etc.

Instruction by the regular faculty of the DSNCE is supplemented with guest lectures by professional managers, renowned academicians and persons who have distinguished themselves in various walks of public life.

The Computer lab of DSNCE is completely air-conditioned and adored with 15 Pentium Systems with colour monitors and multimedia. The Lab is equipped with two dedicated Servers, two printers and one colour scanner, Different operating systems like MD-DOS, Unix and Windows NT are provided in the Lab to support the C, C++, Pascal, Java and COBOL Compilers and RDBMS like Oracle 8 with front-end tools D2K, Visual Basic and Visual C++. All the systems are having internet connection and are available for using infinite number f hour by the students.
